Logistics & Supply Chain.

Digital systems for fleet visibility, fulfilment efficiency, route optimisation, and supply chain control.

What logistics technology work involves

Logistics systems coordinate physical movement through digital records: orders, shipments, stops, exceptions, proof of delivery and the customer communication that follows. Neovantra builds dispatch and tracking platforms, integration layers across carriers and warehouses, and operational dashboards that turn event streams into decisions a controller can act on now.

The terrain is messy by nature — partial connectivity, partner systems of varying quality and events arriving out of order — so designs assume imperfection by default.

Problems we are usually asked to solve

Shipment status living in a TMS, a carrier portal and a spreadsheet, none agreeing; exceptions discovered when a customer calls; manual data entry between ordering, carrier booking and invoicing; proof of delivery arriving on paper; and customer notifications that cannot answer the only question asked: where is it, really?

Architecture for unreliable networks

Events are ingested idempotently with deduplication keys because carriers will send the same update twice, timeline state is modelled explicitly so late events reconcile rather than corrupt, and mobile driver flows work offline with store-and-forward sync. Status shown to a customer carries a timestamp and confidence, because a stale position presented as current is worse than none.

Integration across partners

Carrier, 3PL, warehouse and customs connections are consolidated behind one integration layer with per-partner mapping, retries with backoff, and a visible failure queue with owners. API-first partners connect directly; those with file-based exchange land in monitored drop-zones with schema validation. New partner onboarding becomes configuration against a pattern rather than a new mini-project each quarter.

Operations visibility and customer communication

Control-tower views surface shipments needing attention — delayed, at-risk, missing scans — rather than listing everything equally. Alerting is threshold-based: ETA drift beyond tolerance, dwell time at a node, repeated failed delivery attempts. Customer-facing tracking answers plainly with predictive windows and proactive notifications when the estimate changes, which measurably reduces inbound contact volume.

Engagement patterns and measures

A dispatch or customer-tracking release typically takes ten to sixteen weeks, often fixed price at first scope; multi-partner integration programmes run phased with a dedicated team. Measures agreed in discovery commonly include exception detection time, manual entries per shipment, on-time performance visibility, customer status enquiries per thousand shipments and invoice reconciliation effort.

Sample solutions

  • Fleet management and route optimisation platforms
  • Warehouse and fulfilment systems integration
  • Real-time shipment tracking and exception reporting

Compliance we build towards

We engineer controls for the regimes below and prepare evidence for your auditors. We do not claim certification ourselves — attestations come from accredited bodies engaged by you.

  • GDPR and regional data protection for driver data
  • Retention rules for proof of delivery
  • Carrier and customs data handling
  • Payment interfaces aligned to PCI-DSS

Frequently asked questions

Can you integrate with our carriers and 3PLs?

We connect through APIs, EDI or monitored file exchange depending on the partner, consolidating all of them behind one layer with retries and a visible failure queue so partner-side issues stop being discovered by customers.

How is tracking data kept accurate?

Events are idempotent and reconciled late rather than overwritten, positions carry timestamps and confidence, and exception thresholds trigger review — so the screen you trust matches the road.

Do you replace our TMS?

Rarely in one move. We stage: stabilise and integrate what exists, replace the components causing real operational cost, and keep a rollback throughout. A forced rip-and-replace during peak season is a risk we plan against.
